Dr Eric Warner
Dr Eric Warner is the Founder and Managing Director of Absail Partners Ltd, the specialist consultancy he established in 2015 to work with start-up, early stage, SME and family-owned companies. He brings a history of consultancy work and a substantial record of achievement to bear of the problems of such companies, as they seek to develop their business, grow into new markets, make new acquisitions, or raise further capital. This last function is performed by his sister company, FAIR Advisers Ltd.
Previously he was Managing Director, EMEA of Sail Capital Partners Ltd, a US based venture capital firm focussed on sustainable technology and cleantech companies. Prior to that he was Co-CEO and Head of Investor Relations for Altius Associates, and a member of the Altius Board, and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Coller Institute of Private Equity at the London Business School. He is currently Chairman or NED for a number of client firms whom he has advised
Prior to joining Altius, Dr Warner spent ten years at Mercer Ltd, the international consulting practice, as Head of European Private Equity and M&A. He led a European team of 17 professionals performing due diligence and change management consulting on private equity investment companies, as well as corporates undergoing significant change and M&A. He has substantial corporate finance experience from his work in investment banking, previously holding senior positions at Société Générale, NatWest Markets, and Security Pacific Hoare Govett, where he specialized in capital markets and Financials Institutions coverage. Before joining Mercer, he was Chief Financial Officer of Aon Group Ltd, based in the UK.
Dr. Warner holds a BA in English from Yale University and a DPhil from Oxford. Dr. Warner is also a Member of the RSA and the Institute of Directors. His passions are literature, theatre, wine, and music.
